چکیده

Visual cryptography is a popular solution for image encryption. The encryption procedure encrypts a image into the so-called shares which are noise-like secure images which can be transmitted or distributed over an untrusted communication channel. Using the properties of the human visual system to force the recognition of a secret message from overlapping shares, the image is decrypted without additional computations and any knowledge of cryptography. Visual cryptographic solutions operate on binary or binarized inputs. The natural (continuous-tone) images must be first converted into halftone images by using the density of the net dots to simulate the original gray or color levels in the target binary representation. Then, the halftone version of the input image is used instead of the original image to produce the shares. The decrypted image is obtained by stacking the shares together. Due to the nature of the algorithm, the decrypted image is darker, contains a number of visual impairments, and most of visual cryptography solutions increase the spatial resolution of the image. In addition, the requirement for inputs of the binary or dithered nature only limits the applicability of visual cryptography.

On the Pixel Expansion of Hypergraph Access Structures in Visual Cryptography Schemes

In a visual cryptography scheme, a secret image is encoded into n shares, in the form of transparencies. The shares are then distributed to n participants. Qualified subsets of participants can recover the secret image by superimposing their transparencies, but non-qualified subsets of participants have no information about the secret image. Pixel expansion, which represents the number of subpi...

Maximal Independent Sets for the Pixel Expansion of Graph Access Structure

Abstract : A visual cryptography scheme based on a given graph G is a method to distribute a secret image among the vertices of G, the participants, so that a subset of participants can recover the secret image if they contain an edge of G, by stacking their shares, otherwise they can obtain no information regarding the secret image. In this paper a maximal independent sets of the graph G was ...

Grey Level Visual Cryptography for General Access Structures

Visual cryptography, first introduced by Naor and Shamir, allows a secret (black and white) image to be encoded and distributed to a set of participants such that certain predefined sets of participants may reconstruct the image without any computation. In 2000, Blundo, De Santis, and Naor introduced a model for grey-level visual cryptography which is a generalization of visual cryptography for...

Efficient Construction of Visual Cryptographic Scheme for Compartmented Access Structures

In this paper, we consider a special type of secret sharing scheme known as Visual Cryptographic Scheme (VCS) in which the secret reconstruction is done visually without any mathematical computation unlike other secret sharing schemes. We put forward an efficient direct construction of a visual cryptographic scheme for compartmented access structure which generalizes the access structure for th...
